Torrey Pines is one of the hiking gems in San Diego. The area combines beautiful natural landscapes with a stunning ocean view. The typical hike is to start downstairs at Torey Pines state beach and then make your way up either via the stairs on the beach or via Torrey Pines Park Rd.

But the state park is also conveniently located on the NCTD 101 line which not only makes it available to North County Cities such as Encinitas and Oceanside, it’s also possible to get there from the Blue Line by taking the 101 from Nobel Drive.

Coming by bus also opens another opportunity. Have a nice stroll down hill without the need to walk back up, because Torrey Pines State Park is accessible from the South Fork Trailhead.

The 101 stops conveniently nearby at N Torrey Pines Rd & NY Systems driveway.

After ending the hike at the park entrance, you can either take the 101 back, or you can walk a little further to Del Mar Heights, which offers a good selection of restaurants.
