How to speak in-person or virtually 🗣️:

Speaking virtually is easy! Just join the Zoom hearing, raise your hand when the items come up, and speak when it is your turn.

To speak in person, show up to the meeting at Council Chambers. It is located on the 12th Floor of 202 W C Street, San Diego, CA 92101. Council Chambers is accessible by various buses and trolleys.

For the Hillcrest Focused Plan Amendment:
“Hello Council President Elo-Rivera and City Councilmembers, my name is _____ and I’m speaking in support the Hillcrest Focused Plan Amendment. The bus lanes planned for University Avenue and Washington Street will reduce the time buses spend stuck in traffic. This will result in increased transit ridership and a better experience for current riders. Please approve this plan and implement the bus lanes at the earliest opportunity. Thank you!”

For the University City Community Plan Update:
“Hello Council President Elo-Rivera and City Councilmembers, my name is _____ and I’m speaking in support the University City Community Plan Update. The SMART Corridors in the plan will give buses their own right-of-way. This will allow the buses to not get stuck in traffic, which boosts ridership and enhances the experience for all riders. Please approve this plan and implement the SMART Corridors as soon as possible. Thank you!”
