Almost 2 years ago we started our hiking series “Trains & Trails”. Now we are returning back to the roots. Not because we ran out of ideas but because we love this one so much.
RideSD invites you all for an easy hike in Tecolote Canyon. You will benefit from leaving your car at home because this is a one way hike. We’ll meet at the bus stop. Busses arrive at 10:12 and 10:20.
FAQ
Where, What, How?
We are going to meet at the bus stop “Genesee Av & Marlesta Dr” which is accessible via bus route 41.
We will then do a short walk to one of the Tecolote Canyon trailheads on from there go on a 3+ mile hike until we reach the second trailhead in Bay Park.
We will arrive just in time for lunch at Coronado Brewing.
The brew pub is close to Tecolote Road trolley station so everyone should have an easy time going home!
What Should I Bring?

Ride with Us!
New to public transport or just don’t want to go alone? No problem. If you live along the route from downtown, we will be taking this itinerary:
What if I want to Come by Car?
We are not gonna shame anyone that has to come to the trailhead by car but remember: We are ending the hike at a different spot. So you will find your way back to your car. A good compromise is parking your car at Fashion Valley Transit Center. The 41 leaves from there and takes your right to the start and is conveniently located along the trolley so you’ll be able to get back to your car after the hike.
