Crochet a coaster on the Coaster

Crochet is basically 3D printing with yarn so we're making coasters while riding the Coaster! We will catch the Coaster at Santa Fe Depot at 11:00 AM and ride until Oceanside, where we will enjoy a beer and food at Crackheads. We plan on taking the Coaster back to SD at 1:36pm, arriving back to the Santa Fe Depot at appx 2:40pm.

Materials:

Available for purchase are $3 needle kits (see below) as well as $4 for medium cotton yarn. If you have your own supplies, feel free to bring it along! We will have scissors to share.

Needle Kit ($3)

  • 1 crochet hook (size H/ 5mm)

  • 1 large tapestry needle

  • 5 stitch markers

Schedule

  • 10:45 AM: Meet at Santa Fe Depot

  • 11:00 AM: Take the Coaster, start crocheting session

  • 12:00 PM: Walk to Crackheads Oceanside for lunch

  • 1:36 PM: Take coaster back to San Diego

  • 2:37 PM: Arrive back at Santa Fe Depot
